The Washington Internship Institute's 2013 Fall
Networking Reception on November 4th from 6-7:30 pm was a smashing success. Our mission at WII is to encourage students to be more active citizens ready to serve in their local communities and to equip them with the necessary skills to promote positive change. This event was another opportunity to connect our students with real examples of professionals in their field of study who embody these ideals.
This event organized by Internship Seminar Adjunct Professor Caitlin Murphy allowed our student interns the chance to converse directly with professionals from a wide variety of organizations in D.C. The event hosted a mix of student interns, graduate students, alumni of the program, government workers, non-profits, private sector and more! Everyone enjoyed some great conversation over light appetizers, cheese, fruit, and dessert!
