earning Credit
When you participate in our program, you earn credit from your own college or university. We work with you and your faculty advisor to determine how many credits you will earn for the internship, the Core Course, and the Internship Seminar.
Since you're interning four days out of the week, you will likely earn the most you can for an internship in a semester. When combined with the two classes, most students earn a full semester's worth of credit for participating in the program. We can also help supervise independent study courses and research projects arranged with your faculty advisor on campus.
The first step to determine how many credits you'll earn is to talk to your faculty advisor or staff in the career services or study abroad office on campus.
Summer Credits (Belmont Credits)
If your school does not award credit for WII’s summer program, you can earn up to 12 credits from our summer school of record, Belmont University, and transfer them back to your home institution.
There is no additional fee to register for Belmont credits. You are simply responsible for the Washington Internship Institute’s program fee (and housing fee and housing deposit, if applicable). It is not possible to receive financial aid from Belmont or your home institution.
