Sara is the Director of Student Programs at the Washington Internship Institute. She is excited to assist students in combining their academic passions with meaningful professional experience in order to achieve their future goals.

Sara worked in a communications capacity for organizations advancing the teaching profession and education policy. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies from Northwestern University and a Master of Arts in Global Communications from the Elliott School of International Affairs at the George Washington University. 

Originally from Kent, WA, Sara has lived in DC since 2010. She enjoys running races throughout the DMV, and celebrating by eating her way through the city’s vibrant restaurant scene.
