Julie Froom

Executive Vice President

Julie Froom is the Executive Vice President at the Washington Internship Institute. Her primary responsibilities include student placement, accounting and budgeting, performance measurement, human resources, and special projects.

She participated in the Washington Internship Institute’s Capital Experience program in 1994, completing an internship at the Atlantic Council of the United States. She joined the staff of the Washington Internship Institute in 1995 as a Program Coordinator. Julie then served as Senior Program Coordinator, Director of Administration, and Senior Vice President of Operations before taking on her current role. 

Julie earned a Bachelor of Arts from Austin College and a Master of Public Administration degree with a concentration in nonprofit management from George Mason University.

She enjoyed volunteering as the coordinator of an English as a Second Language program for 15 years. She also serves on the board of ESL & Immigrant Ministries, a nonprofit located in Northern Virginia.
