Critical Dialogues Series with former US Senator Joseph Tydings

The students at the Washington Internship Institute marked the fiftieth anniversary of the assassination of President Kennedy by spending time with one of the late President’s personal friends and his Maryland campaign manager from 1960, former US Senator Joseph Tydings.

Senator Tydings spoke of his friendship with the late President through a series of humorous anecdotes from their time together on the campaign trail and ended with an insightful analysis on the meaning of the Kennedy Presidency, and the legacy of public service and active citizenship left by our 35th President.
