Credits and Billing

  • You can earn a full semester's worth of credits from Ramapo during the fall or spring semester:

    • 8 credits for the internship

    • 4 credits each for the Core Course and Internship Seminar

      • Consult with Dr. Teigen regarding credit and billing arrangements for the summer term.

  • Your federal financial aid travels with you to DC in the fall and spring, and you receive a $700 scholarship for the semester to help with housing costs.

Consult with your faculty advisor and Ramapo staff to determine your credit and billing arrangements.

Application Process

  1. Review the deadlines, application criteria and instructions, and complete the application by the deadline. If you are applying for WII’s Scholarships, review the instructions and submit the required materials as instructed.

  2. If you are accepted, notify your Dean, advisor, and Dr. Teigen. A WII Internship Program Coordinator will contact you to begin the internship placement process.

  3. Pay the $500 WII registration deposit (this will be applied to your housing balance).

  4. Register for courses (You must register for all three courses; POLI 389 will have a course section fee equivalent to WII tuition).

  5. Visit the Office of Financial Aid to complete the Financial Aid WII Ad-Hoc Consortium Agreement.

  6. Visit the SSHS Office (ASB-431) to receive, review, and sign the Ramapo College Waiver & Release.

  7. If you are currently living in on-campus housing, contact Residence Life to receive a Temporary Withdrawal Form and submit it by deadline.

    • If you would like to participate in next year's Housing Selection Process, you must submit the non-refundable housing selection deposit of $500 by the deadline. If you do not participate in the housing selection process you will still be guaranteed housing and will be placed during summer.

  8. Review the FERPA policy, and, if you elect, submit the FERPA Waiver to the Office of the Registrar.

  9. Pay the Ramapo course section fee by the deadline, or, if utilizing financial aid, within 5 business days of your financial aid disbursement.

  10. Pay the WII housing balance by the deadline or, if utilizing financial aid, within 5 business days of your financial aid disbursement.

  11. Meet with Dr. Teigen to review this checklist and ask any questions.
